Agra Fort of Uttar Pradesh is one of the beautiful Forts of the world. It is built massive red sandstone. Agra Fort is situated on the bank of theYamuna River. It was begun by Emperor Akbar in 1565, though additions were made up until the rule of his grandson, Shah Jahan. Agra fort was mainly a military structure in Akbar's time, but during Shah Jahan reign it had partially become Palace. Entrance of Agra Fort is Amar Singh Gate; the eastern part of the fort contains palace, audience hall and mosques built by three emperors.
